Return & Refund Policy

 

Welcome to South African Goodies. We are committed to delivering authentic South African products to customers across Panama with the highest level of care and service. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before placing your order.

 

1. Food & Grocery Products

Due to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, all food, beverages, snacks, groceries, and consumable items are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered.

This includes:

  • Chocolates

  • Biscuits and snacks

  • Dry goods and groceries

  • Beverages

  • Frozen or refrigerated products

  • Any opened or used products

 

2. Chocolate & Heat Disclaimer

Panama’s tropical climate can sometimes cause chocolates and similar products to soften or melt during transport or delivery.

While South African Goodies takes every precaution to:

  • Use secure protective packaging

  • Minimize heat exposure

  • Pack products carefully for transport

we cannot guarantee that chocolate products will arrive in perfect solid condition during extremely hot weather.

Important:

  • Melted chocolate is still safe to consume.

  • Slight melting, softening, or cosmetic damage does not qualify for refunds or replacements.

  • Customers ordering chocolate products do so at their own discretion in warm weather conditions.

 

3. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives:

  • Severely damaged

  • Incorrect

  • Missing items

  • Expired

please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package.

To process a claim, customers must provide:

  • Order number

  • Clear photos of the package and products

  • Description of the issue

Approved claims may qualify for:

  • Replacement products

  • Store credit

  • Partial or full refund (at our discretion)

 

4. Delivery & Pickup Responsibility

Once an order has been:

  • Delivered to the provided address, or

  • Made available for pickup at a courier or pickup point,

the customer becomes responsible for the products.

We are not responsible for:

  • Products left uncollected for extended periods

  • Heat damage after delivery or pickup notification

  • Incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer

 

5. Shipping Delays

Delivery times are estimates only and may occasionally be affected by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Customs delays

  • Courier delays

  • National holidays

  • Transportation issues

We are not liable for delays outside our control, but we will always do our best to assist and communicate updates.

 

6. Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before they have been processed or shipped.

Once an order has been packed or dispatched:

  • Cancellation requests may not be possible

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable

 

7. Product Availability

Some South African products are imported in limited quantities and may occasionally become unavailable.

If an item is out of stock after purchase, we may:

  • Offer a substitute product

  • Issue store credit

  • Provide a refund for the unavailable item

 

8. Allergies & Product Information

Customers are responsible for reviewing product ingredients and allergen information before consumption.

South African Goodies is not responsible for allergic reactions or dietary sensitivities.
